Wow, I think I'm actually doing my job!

Well, in certain dimensions. I always know I'm doing my job when it comes down to the actual grunt benchwork. But given that my title's Lab Manager, I'm actually doing some managing! Woo-hoo!

Yeah, it's a weird thing to be excited about, but I've never really run things, when a paycheck's involved. *shrug* Given that the boss is mostly out of the office today (I believe she put it as 'heavy meetings with a slight chance of thought later') I'm actually directing the junior tech to do things. And she's doing them, after having gone 'Yeah, I forgot about that!' Instead of us both going 'Hey, the boss is out, let's goof off!' (Speaking of goofing off... I'm Willowroot or Lynkes on YPP for those who care or know)

Anyway, odd moment of self-revelation over, back to the fun stuff. Chemical inventory and disposal! Yee-ha, do I know how to have fun in this lab, or what?
