Observations of random things that have floated through my awareness in the past few days:
The strobe-light/fire-alarm wall units at work have been buzzing, the past two days. Quietly and intermittently, almost as if they're talking to each other and don't want anyone to listen in on the conversation.
I've developed a 'ganglion' on the back of my right wrist. Just enough to annoy me, but it'll go away soon, it always does.
Someone popped the emergency-exit-only door at the gym yesterday, and its alarm wailed for two or three minutes before it was shut off. Over the next forty minutes, it periodically whooped for a second or three, as if to say "'Ey, I'm not dead yet!"
A subset of people really do value educators. I've received a surprising amount of praise for my work at Community High recently, enough to make me seriously consider the teaching career.
Individuals who want to make a difference, and have the will, really can. It gives me hope.
