Specifically, mine. If there's anything personal that I'm taking away from this process (as well as the grant-writing course I took earlier this term), it's a deeper, truer understanding of why I don't fit in as a typical scientist. It's something that in hindsight, has driven my desire to get into teaching the science, rather than struggling through the system to achieve the science.
