For [livejournal.com profile] byrdie, my icons:

Critter is from The Creatures in My Head, a delightfully weird webcomic. I highly recommend it. Not a serial comic, by any means, but a fantastically creative and exploratory artist. For when I'm just being goofy, usually.

Gamer references one of the best card games ever made, Munchkin, plus all of it's sequels and expansions (Munchkin--with Unnatural Axe and Clerical Errors, Star Munchkin--with Clown Wars, Munchkin Fu--with Monky Business, Munchkin Bites!, and finally Munchkin Blender, to entice you to play ALL of the above together at once). For when I'm being a real gamer geek.

Goofball is my default, and came from one of those online icon generators. It's not a bad representation, for an icon generator. I've got that hat, in leather.

Keeeerazy! highlights Wash from Firefly, Joss Whedon's take on sci-fi and space drama, a phenomenal show. I'm also being a chump in that I'm not remembering who I ganked this specific icon from, as I didn't make it, but it fits me in my crazy moods.

KotS was a piece of practice work from Matt Bayne who does the webcomic Knights of the Shroud. He has a blog I read, and therein he once asked for reference photos for so that he couldwork on his portraiture skills. I sent him the photo I took after the first time I shaved my head. That's my serious icon.

Mystery is from, yes, Amelie, and is, yes again, shamefully ganked from an icon maker who I am sadly not remembering. My quirky-moods icon.

politics came from the lovely lady [livejournal.com profile] rubricity (edited to fix the oops), and, well, it's political. For the still rare times that I make posts or comments on political topics--and it so delightfully highlights the absurdity inherent in today's bombastic and pedagogical political environment (instead of being activist and forthright).

and finally,

Yipe! references yet another webcomic, as it's Percival from Sinfest, a sometimes scathingly critical look at today's society, and sometimes it's just goofy. For when I'm greatly surprised by something, or I'm talking about cats.

I'll admit,

I get an inordinately large kick out of working for someone who says, upon being presented with successful experimental results:

"That's awesome! Better quit while you're ahead."
