Le Whee! and Le Suck!

Le Suck: I had to work all three days of last weekend. And the experiment didn't work, either.
Le Whee: The weekend ended well, hanging out with some good friends, plus a delightful surprise ending.

Le Suck: A new acquaintance lost her job, because the coolest movie theater in town shut down.

Le Suck: I had to give my once-a-year peer-attended work-in-progress talk at work today, which mean that the boss kept hovering over me like a horsefly for the past two weeks.
Le Whee: The talk went beautifully, and I even slipped in a few good one-liners (our lab's "nefarious purposes" and being so frustrated "I tore out the rest of my hair").

Le Suck: My lab's post-doc is getting a divorce, probably due to the stress of the new baby and the new house.

Le Whee: I've greatly enjoyed the two times so far I've actually managed to make it to practice with the theatrical combat troupe my friends helped found.
Le Suck: For the foreseeable future, I shall be working hours that prevent me from attending any more practices.

Le Whee: I am happily distributing much good comickage (and a few worthy books) to many, many friends.

And I think that's that.
