I'm writing an application for a graduate fellowship award. When I first downloaded the app form, the due date was March 21st. I go "Great, that'll give me three weeks to get this done, get all the rec letters, etc." Now, admittedly, I've been banging my head against the wall about writing all the niggling bits (abstract, research plan, 'plain-language' summary, career goals & plans, lit references). I'm actually getting on a roll with the writing, and I figure I'll ask the two folks I need to for recommendation letters, and I pop back to the site to double-check the requirements and what the letters are supposed to include.
And find that the society has upped the due date for the application to tomorrow.
Right.
Never mind, then.
