Alrighty folks, time for me to have a little fun and to keep the creative fly-wheels in my brain cranking along.
The first ten people who reply to this will be the recipients of a hand-made mix/sampler CD crafted by yours truly. It'll be in MP3 format, so you're receiving a whopping pile of music all at once. I'll even be fair and limit the list of possible artists and album to those whom I've discovered in the past 10 years or so (so Chicago-to-Ann Arbor).
I do need to put two limits on this, however:
1) those of you who can readily come over to my apartment and personally peruse my music collection are excluded. If you want to sample my stuff, drop on by! Err, musical stuff, I mean. ;-) You know where I live...
2) this collection will include all sorts of music--I don't know all of you well enough to customize the mixes. Yes, I have broad tastes. "iTunes whiplash" was almost invented to describe my collection. That means inevitably there'll be stuff on these discs that you might not like. Tough! This is one of the joys of sampler CDs... you'll hopefully find stuff you're excited about, tunes you're enthralled by, and undoubtedly there are tracks where you'll go "eugh, who listens to that?"
(if this is a smashing success, then I very well might extend this offer...)

ETA: Okay, I'm up to 12, so I will extend this to 15 possible CDs in this round. Three more discs up for grabs, folks...
