A random question I put to you, inspired by a conversation yesterday with
girlux (hello, Lab Slave #2!):
Is it obvious to you that I am/was a Boy Scout? Indeed, that I am/was an Eagle Scout? If it is obvious... how or why is it obvious to you, the congenial observer?
I mingle the tenses as some perceive Scouting to be a life-long endeavour, whereas others do not.
And to forestall any harangues, I departed the Boy Scouts of America with my Eagle award around the same time they began their insipid slide towards intolerant exclusivism. I was a scout when Scouting was still cool and supportive.
Edit: I need to be careful what I invite my coworkers to comment on. Upon reading this,
blue_lucy (Lab Slave #1) turned to me and laughed, saying "You are SUCH a boy scout. Jeez." *sigh*
