In order to ease the looming financial burden on my supervisor, when I make the transition to grad student, I need to file paperwork with the UM Residency Office, to prove that I really should be classified as an in-state resident, as regards tuition and fees. I'm currently classed as 'non-resident' because I wasn't a) born in the state and b) didn't graduate from a college in this state. Leaving it this way will apparently cost my boss more to fund me as a grad student with benefits, than she's paying right now for me as a full-time employee.
So. I download the appropriate PDF, and I'm reading it over, to see if I can lawfully fill it out now, even though I haven't officially been admitted by the graduate school proper.
Then I come across item #13, which made me chuckle. Verbatim:
List in sequence all schools you have attended during the past six years, including UM and secondary schools. Start with the most recent. ALWAYS LIST HIGH SCHOOL REGARDLESS OF HOW LONG AGO YOU ATTENDED.
*whistles innocently*
This'll take some explaining...
