Well, the Beast is slain. Turned out to be as ferocious as, say, a Kitten.
My preliminary GRE scores are:
Verbal: 700 (up from 680)
Quant: 800 (up from 640)
One can surmise, comparing those sets of numbers, that either a) the GRE test was dumbed down in the interim, or b) I might actually have learned something in the intervening 12 years between test-takings.
Umm... how do you say it... "Boo-yah"?
