Herein I prove that I'm also a crazy gamemaster. (Not that some of you unfortunates needed further proof of that...)
Friday night's session was the penultimate Heavy Battle of the D&D campaign that I've been running on and off (mostly on) for the past two years. It's a special encounter, as Our Heroes battle to save their beloved home city from a magical event that will subject the city's citizens to several thousand years of slavery under demonic overlords. The battleground is centered on a giant metal tree-shaped artefact, bearing the 'fruit' of magical cages that have already drained the souls of the hapless victims imprisoned within.
What did I do to make the session very special? ( I built the tree, of course. )
