Science! post 2

So, I've hopefully given you a basic idea of the biology of H. pylori, and an idea about how well this particular Helicobacter species has evolved for its particular environment.

Now I'd like to walk through the pathology and clinical importance surrounding Hpy and ulcers. )
And this is getting long enough, so I'll stop this here, and get to the actual disease in the next post.

See?

Scientists can (and often do) have a wonderful sense of humor:

Upon being asked whether his goal in piecing together the genetic sequence for the only-recently extinct Tasmanian tiger was to allow humanity to resurrect the species, the lead scientist responded:

"I want to learn as much as I can about why large mammals become extinct because all my friends are large mammals," Professor Miller added.

Yes my friends, indeed, you are all large mammals. And don't you forget it.
